Just Come Back by Robb Russell
1. It has been almost a month since I last wrote a newsletter and many changes I hope you find worthy of this message. The weekly newsletter idea would really work if I was not the only one writing it! <hint!> I really put alot into making this your movie channel of choice so please read on.
It has been awhile many of you may have even added on but we have a stable network, we have a simple system and just being connected means you or others don't miss out from each other.
Tms-Zach has become the heart and sole of TMS and this better not go to his head. <I am actually afraid it already has!!> He has the fastest server, the most current movies and as a high reliablity factor of keeping his server up and getting a full movie. I also don't want to discount TMS-Angicam and myself since we stay up like 23 hrs a day and try to offer as many movies as possible.
I personally want to get my complete movie list up on the web and allow members only acccess to my personal movie drives and not my XDCC Triggers only advertised.
What I am missing is YOU!! Sign on, stay connected and rejoin us! Try my trigger of my new TMS User's Guide !help in channel #tms-movies or #tms.
I have kicked out alot of the total leaches who refuse to serve or have not even tried. I have some tms-name's who haven't but I know if we could connect them through their firewalls they would be serving now.The servers are their for members if someone is wasting our time tell me and they will be removed until they want to serve. You have less queue times and get more movies this way.

3a. CITY BY THE SEA -http://citybythesea.warnerbros.com/ <-----------Neat flash display>
Inspired by the 1997 Esquire article Mark of a Murderer, written by Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist Mike McAlary, City by the Sea tells the gripping story of a dedicated police officer who discovers that the chief suspect in his current murder investigation is his own son.
New York City homicide detective Vincent LaMarca (ROBERT De NIRO) has forged a long and distinguished career in law enforcement, making a name for himself as a man intensely committed to his work. But on his latest case, the stakes are higher for Vincent the suspect heís investigating is his own son, Joey (JAMES FRANCO).
Vincent and Joey have been painfully estranged ever since Vincent divorced Joeyís mother and left the decaying boardwalks of Long Beach, Long Island for the anonymity of Manhattan and a successful career with the NYPD. He lives his life in solitude, keeping his girlfriend (FRANCES McDORMAND) at armís length. The closest relationship he maintains is with his partner, Reg (GEORGE DZUNDZA), and Vincent makes sure that stops at the precinct door. As long as Vincent lives in the protection of the present, he doesnít have to deal with the pain of his past.
The murder investigation draws Vincent home to Long Beach, the self-proclaimed "City by the Sea," where the past has been waiting for him to return. In the course of his investigation, Vincent discovers that his own unresolved pain and failures as a father have deeply influenced Joeyís life and the destructive choices he has made.
As a cop, Vincent must bring a criminal to justice; as a father, he must find a way to save his son. Now he will put his life on the line in order to do right by both his family and his profession.

3b. Big Fat Greek Wedding <Like been inthe Top ten For several weeks now!!Entertainement radio Announcers state its even gonna be a Tv Series on FX-Network TV.
If ''Saturday Night Live'' had ever spun an atrocious movie off its fabled ''Cheeseburgah! Cheeseburgah!'' sketch, it's doubtful the Belushi and Aykroyd characters could have been given an immigrant family any more shrill or cartoonish than the one in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. The film is meant to be an ugly-duckling fairy tale in which Toula (Nia Vardalos), at 30, goes to computer college but still needs permission from her dad (Michael Constantine, speaking in theeck funny Gdeek accent, no?) to stop working at his restaurant, Dancing Zorba's.
Can she get away with marrying Ian (John Corbett), a WASPy vegetarian high school teacher? Their courtship is like something out of a makin'-whoopee comedy from 1962, and that's nothing compared to the wedding, which turns the very concept of ''Greek'' into the sort of hideous, pandering clichés that look rejected from bad Jewish and Italian sitcoms.

3c. BarberShop-Black Comedy with Ice Cube.
The African-American staff and customers who populate the tonsorial parlor owned by Calvin Palmer (Ice Cube) in the eager-to-entertain, conservative comedy Barbershop are denizens of present-day South Side Chicago. But sometimes, when the light hits just right in this reassuring, retro uplifter, the clock seems to tick backward to the 1950s, when a man armed with nothing more persuasive than a good shave and a haircut could make something of himself.
The kind of blue-chip values promoted here are nothing new to audiences of ''Soul Food'' and ''Men of Honor'' -- crime doesn't pay; treat your women right; and love your neighbor (including the Indian shopkeeper down the street). And the plot is one of straight-up, be-true-to-your-roots responsibility, in which Calvin, who inherited the business from his late father and feels stifled by its squareness, first decides to sell the place to a local loan shark, then decides otherwise. The earnestness is leavened, however, by some of the airy funkiness of Cube's earlier ''Friday'' comedies. And the mixed-up rhythms of the story rescue ''Barbershop'' from bland goodness.
While an effervescent Cedric the Entertainer (hair poufed and parted in a big Frederick Douglass 'do) dominates the proceedings as the shop's senior philosopher/kibitzer, riffing zestfully about Rodney King, O.J. Simpson, and Rosa Parks, rap star Eve wields clippers as the only woman in the shop; ''Save the Last Dance'''s Sean Patrick Thomas plays a highfalutin college student cutting hair to pay tuition; and Troy Garity fascinates as Isaac Rosenberg, a white barber who lives black, from his fly girlfriend to his wardrobe. As it does for many young white men, the racial crossover represents a kind of personal revolution for Isaac. Then again, for Garity, the actor son of Jane Fonda and Tom Hayden, revolution is a family affair.

4. Positive Changes to TMS: You should know about!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
a. Channel TMS-First of all this is the members channels for announcements requests and any special documents that may help others post them there.
Want to post a request for movies you want post them here. Just use the requester in Invision and put that important announcement here.
Want to post the mew movies on your file server announce them with announcer in #tms.
Have a document or software relate to serving or video serve them with the TDCC Manager in Invision in channel #tms.
We don't serve movies in this channel just information and helpful software.
New users can request "!help" in either #tms or #tms-movies and get a good useful Users Guide that explains fileservers, xdcc servers, video file names, players and codecs and the rules of the channel.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
b. #Channel #TMS-Chat
Nothing is more boring then sitting in the channel #tms-movies and watching the users idle or send !list right. So after a lot of thought it just made sense to have a place to hang out. But what I need is a really cool chat boot to talk and interact with the those in the chat room. No real rules short of no serving or announcing, cussing or the harrasment of channel ops but that rule is found just about anywhere/anyway.
Bu let me repeat if you know a bot that is not an annoying biot and nice to have around get with me about setting it up.
c. #TMS-Help just a place to really set up file servers. If you can do a file srev set up with a newbie I will give you half ops - %TMS-NickName. Need help contact a channel op @TMS-Nickname. Invision trigger is !invision in channel #tms. A new users guide is !help.

c. XDCC F-Servers-the latest and most poular form of getting movies off #tms-movies on MUSIRC. Just see the advertisement and grab the movie. No weeding through !list or individual Fservers command by command. Its faster! Try it! Want to set one up and serve next paragraph of this newsletter!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^ ^ ^ How To Use and Get Movies from A XDCC Server: ^ ^ By Robb Russell ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ An XDCC server is a server that allows users to access files that have organized into packs. A pack is simply a file with some settings associated with it such as a description, you may get a pack from a XDCC Server by issuing the command /msg yournickname xdcc send #N where N is the pack number they wish to get.
Below is an example from #tms-movies on musirc from the member TMS-Angicam and in this tutorial we are going to break down this serving message so that you may understand and use all xdcc messages:
Example Header File: This is the beginning of every XDCC serving message and you need to be able to both read and understand it.
[8:41am] <@tms-angicam> XDCC Server Active Sends:«2/2» Queues:«1/5»
First you see the time the xdcc message was sent out followed by the member <tms-angicam> and it tells us the server is active but currently has already met its total sends of 2 of 2 sends are currently being shared on the network; however, note the following line Queues 1 of 5 this means you can order a ordera movie from this server and when a send is available you will be sent out the movie. Right now this message tells us that server TMS-angicam has queue slots free and if you request a movie you will be put in the queue and served when your slot becomes free. However, if you leave the channel after 10 minutes your que will be dropped.
The second header line states the current bandwidth <bw> and the record file send speed in kbs.
[8:41am] <@tms-angicam> Current BW:«10.5 Kbs» Record CPS:«9.7 Kbs by Babylove»
Reading the available movies from a xdcc message:
Example:
[8:41am] <@tms-angicam> #1 «153 MB» Fear.Dot.Com.(1of2) - (2 gets)
The first line gives us the time, followed by the server and the third item #1 is the pack number. The pack number is required to request a movie and in this example pack number #1 Fear.Dot.Com.(1of2) - (2 gets) will request the file name Fear.Dot.com Part 1 of 2 and it has been previosly requested two other times.
To request this movie you must copy and paste tms angicam's ctcp trigger from the end of the xdcc advertisements and in this example a total of 13 filenames are advertised and precede the ctcp trigger:
Type:/ctcp tms-angicam XDCC Send #
To request this a file name you must insert the pack number and in this case the pack number is 1.
Now to get this movie you send this message to the channel, #tms-movies
/ctcp tms-angicam XDCC Send #1
Please note the words Type and the symbol : may not be sent as they confuse the server and no movie request will be sent. You simply send from the "/" to the pack number.
Example of a Complete XDCC Message:
[8:41am] <@tms-angicam> XDCC Server Active Sends:«2/2» Queues:«1/5» 8:41am] <@tms-angicam> Current BW:«10.5 Kbs» Record CPS:«9.7 Kbs by Babylove» [8:41am] <@tms-angicam> #1 «153 MB» Fear.Dot.Com.(1of2) - (2 gets) [8:41am] <@tms-angicam> #2 «93.8MB» Fear.Dot.Com.(2of2) - (0 gets) [8:41am] <@tms-angicam> #3 «153 MB» Insomnia.(1of2) - (1 gets) [8:41am] <@tms-angicam> #4 «129 MB» Insomnia.(2of2) - (1 gets) [8:41am] <TMS-DRSeuss> hey Zach [8:41am] <@tms-angicam> #5 «117 MB» My.Big.Fat.Greek.Wedding.(1of2) - (4 gets) [8:41am] <@tms-angicam> #6 «121 MB» My.Big.Fat.Greek.Wedding.(2of2) - (2 gets) [8:41am] <@tms-angicam> #7 «152 MB» Peter.Pan.Return.To.Neverland.(1of2) - (3 gets) [8:41am] <@tms-angicam> #8 «149 MB» Peter.Pan.Return.To.Neverland.(2of2) - (1 gets) [8:41am] <@tms-angicam> #9 «151 MB» Queen.Of.The.Damned.(1of2) - (0 gets) [8:41am] <@tms-angicam> #10 «97.5MB» Queen.Of.The.Damned.(2of2) - (1 gets) [8:41am] <@tms-angicam> #11 «190 MB» City.by.the.sea.(1of2) - (0 gets) [8:41am] <@tms-angicam> #12 «81.2MB» City.by.the.sea.(2of2) - (0 gets) [8:41am] <@tms-angicam> #13 «132 MB» About.a.boy.(1of2) - (0 gets) [8:41am] <@tms-angicam> Served:«2.59G» Packs Offered:«13» [8:41am] <@tms-angicam> MOTD: -= Invision 2.0 Build 1816 =- [8:41am] <@tms-angicam> Type:/ctcp tms-angicam XDCC Send #<pack number>
Many of us use XDCC triggers in #tms-movies and they are broadcasted a minimum of every twenty minutes. So if you do not see a file choice right away just stay in channel for twenty minutes and scroll up and see all the choices that are available.

SETTING UP A XDCC SERVER!! Excerpt from THE TMS Operations Manual which can be downloaded from channel #tms under the trigger !manual
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
3g<1>. Setting up Invision as a XDCC Server:
3g<2> Select at the top Invision (it should be next to dcc by where file is), and go to "XDCC Manager
3g<3> First go to the "setup" tab and select your desired queues, sends, ect.. ad delay must be min. 10mins and for advertising channels put #TMS-movies. Select pack list.
3g<4>Assign each movie file to a pack, but save number #15 for your movie list. That way anyone on a TMS channel will know if they want a full list of movies just type/ctcp TMSNickname send #15.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I really like the advantages of XDCC since it keeps thuings easy and less hassles with users. its faster and we still can get full fserv access from any member to a member easily.
With knowledge of full movies you can set up USER List to allow anyone a member you want to get DCC access all the time into your full server. They just need to add your name while both of you are online. It captures host masks and if yours changes you will have to have it re-added.
This way members get more access then non-members and even more movies can be shared like from me to you hundreds are possible.
